Where is Explorium located?

Located against the beautiful backdrop of the Dublin Mountains overlooking Dublin City on Blackglen Road, opposite Lamb Doyles.

On M50 – Take Exit 13 & 14 in South Dublin.

 

 

Easily accessed from most parts of the country.

What hours are you open?

Junior Explorium, 7 days a week 9.30am to 17.30hrs

Do i have to prebook tickets?
We strongly advise that tickets are purchased online in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment if we are full.

How much are tickets?
Children’s tickets are €15, Adult tickets are €5. Children under 2 are free. Carers are free upon presenting a valid ID card at reception on the day of entry. Those attending with the Carer need to be booked in online in advance to secure their spot. 

Visiting Junior Explorium, do I need to purchase a child ticket for my 12 year old or can I buy an adult ticket?
In order to provide the best experience in Junior Explorium all children require a child’s ticket.

I understand that children under 2 are free but do I need a ticket for an under 2?
No you don’t need a ticket for under 2s.

My toddler is 22 months, can we still visit Junior Explorium?
Yes, you can. All children must be supervised by their parent(s) or guardian(s) at all times.

Are tickets refundable?
All Junior Explorium tickets are purchased on a non-refundable basis.

I booked a ticket but now I want to change it?
If you would like to change your ticket please contact 01 960 2000 or email info@explorium.ie 48 hours in advance and we will try to assist you, subject to availability. We cannot guarantee we can change it. Requests are dealt with on a case by case basis.

Do you offer any discounts on admission?
Carers receive free admission upon presentation of valid ID Children under 2 are free

Do you sell Explorium gift cards?
Gift cards can be purchased online @ https://explorium.ie or are available at from reception.

Where can i park?
There are ample free parking facilities at Explorium.

What time is the last admission at Junior Explorium?
The last slot you can book is for 15.30. Last admission is between 15.30hours and 17.30hours.

What about accessibility?
Explorium is fully wheelchair accessible and buggy friendly. We also have a drop off area at the entrance.

What’s the best time to visit?
Any time is great, but you might want to consider visiting on a weekday afternoon, when there are usually fewer visitors.

Is there a café, food onsite for children?
We have a Café in Junior Explorium, which features pastries, cakes etc all baked from scratch, and a children’s menu.

Is Junior Explorium just for under 7s?
Junior Explorium is for ages 2-7 years.

Can children be left alone in Junior Explorium?
For the safety of our guests, all children should be supervised at all times by a parent, guardian, accompanying adult.
Our Visitor Experience Team are on hand to demonstrate and assist.

Is it okay to film or take photos at Explorium?
Informal photography and video for personal use, are allowed during regular hours as long as other visitors’ experiences are not disrupted and the photos are for non-commercial use. Photography of strangers is not allowed for any reason without the person’s (or their guardian’s) express, written consent. Feel free to share your experience at Explorium on your social media channels. We’re on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and You Tube.
