Junior Science Summer Camps: Science, Smiles, and Summer Fun

This summer marked an exciting new chapter at Explorium – the launch of our very first Junior Science Summer Camp! Designed especially for curious kids aged 5 to 8, the camp brought science to life through hands-on experiments, incredible exhibits, and loads of unforgettable fun.

From erupting volcanoes to exploring dinosaurs in augmented reality, our young scientists were immersed in a week of creativity, discovery, and jaw-dropping moments.

Science Time Adventures

Each day kicked off with Science Time – and things got messy (in the best way)! Campers created their own lava lamps, whipped up gloopy slime, and triggered colourful volcano eruptions right before their eyes. These simple but fascinating experiments helped them understand real scientific reactions – all while having an absolute blast.

Big Learning for Little Explorers

It wasn’t just hands-on – it was minds-on. Campers explored some of our most mind-bending science zones, including:

Gravity Room

Kids discovered the science of balance and force in a room that challenged their senses and sparked their curiosity.

Lightning Show

A thrilling live demo lit up the room and taught kids about electricity, weather, and the science of storms.

Robotic Dog Show

Our tech-savvy pups wowed the crowd with tricks, teaching kids the basics of robotics.

Augmented Reality Dinosaur Experience

Campers watched dinosaurs roar to life, explored fossils and footprints, and experienced some terrifyingly fun prehistoric adventure.

Every day included Make ‘n’ Do time, where kids let their creativity shine – from decorating plant pots and customizing slime to designing their very own lab coats.

Outdoor & Free Play Time

Balance was key – and we made sure every day included time to run, relax, and recharge. Whether it was letting off steam outdoors, sharing a snack with friends, or trying out interactive games inside, the camp offered just the right mix of learning and laughter.
